Lemon Verbena Tea

Lemon Verbena Tea

Now this is a fairly new one to me which I found on my travels in Spain on the Camino, I was at breakfast at a hotel ( yes I had to have a break from the hostels) on the veranda on a rest day where I was presented with a cup of heaven, it has a really lemony taste yet whilst still remaining delicate, they’re carefully picked so as not to crush the leaves and then dried and are totally organic and caffeine free.

It is said to be helpful with digestive ailments having been used for centuries as a fever reducer, sedative, antispasmodic, and for its antimicrobial properties, personally despite the medical benefits I tend to drink this on a lazy Sunday when I want to unwind and energise.

Ingredients: Iranian Verbana

Brewing Instructions

Put 1 teaspoon (5 ml.) of dried verbena in each cup of boiling water. pour the boiling water over and steep for 3 minutes or more, depending on how strong you like your tea.
