Quince & Apple Tea


The quince is something that seems to of almost disappeared from the shops in the UK, as a child I remember in Iran my grandmother preparing the fruit and laying them out in the sun covered in muslin so they would dry and that she would have her fix for quince tea for the winter. I’ve got to say that Apple and quince tea tastes Devine, not only that but it also is supposed to help rejuvenate skin and hair, this tea has been drank by Persian for centuries.

The fruit is rich in a variety of vitamins and minerals and is thought to relieve nausea, treat stomach ailments, cancer, help lose weight and keep skin and hair healthy.

This tea is naturally sweet and slightly tart, this nutritious, caffeine free tea warms the soul

In the middle ages, the quince was highly valued and was often served at tables of monarchs and aristocrats, it was a sign of greatness, its also rich in Vitamins A, B and C, fibre, as well as minerals like potassium, copper, selenium, zinc, phosphorus, calcium, iron, and magnesium.

Ingredients: Persian Quince and Apple

Weight: 50g

Brewing Instructions

Place one teaspoon in a glass mug. Pour boiling water to fill glass half way. Cover glass with a large kitchen towel for 10-15 minutes. Prior to serving, add more hot water. Voila this delicious and nutritious tea is ready to be served.
